Dr. Arun Verma is a Postdoctoral Associate in the interdisciplinary research program Manus, and Machina (M3S) at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART), where he works with Prof. Daniela Rus (MIT) and Prof. Bryan Kian Hsiang Low (NUS). Before this position, he was a Research Fellow in Department of Computer Science at National University of Singapore, working with Prof. Bryan Kian Hsiang Low.
Dr. Arun Verma earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), where his doctoral thesis received two awards: Naik and Rastogi Excellence in Ph. D. Thesis Award and COMSNETS Best Ph.D. Thesis Award. His research interests primarily lie in developing and analyzing efficient and practical algorithms for sequential decision-making problems by exploiting the underlying problem structures, with their practical applications in a wide range of domains such as Large Language Models (LLMs), AutoML, and AI for Science.
