Yong Zhao is a student from Singapore Management University (SMU) with a strong interest in technology, engineering, and applied research. During his time at SMU, he built a solid foundation in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary learning, while developing an interest in how research and technology can be applied to real-world challenges.
As part of his academic journey, Yong Zhao pursued hands-on research and project-based experiences that strengthened his technical skills and ability to work in collaborative environments. These experiences further motivated him to explore research-driven work beyond the classroom.
He later joined the Mens, Manus and Machina (M3S) programme as an intern, where he supported ongoing research projects through technical implementation, data analysis, and close collaboration with researchers and supervisors. His internship at M3S allowed him to gain exposure to an international research environment and deepen his understanding of how academic research translates into scalable and impactful solutions.
Yong Zhao continues to be keen on expanding his research experience and contributing to projects at the intersection of technology, engineering, and real-world applications.
