Yubin Liu

Research Assistant Professor at City University of Hong Kong

Dr. Yubin Liu is currently a Research Assistant Professor at City University of Hong Kong. He previously served as a postdoctoral associate at T7 (Human Workers and Resource Allocation Optimization) of the interdisciplinary research programme Mens, Manus, and Machina (M3S) at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART). His research focuses on developing computationally efficient and scalable optimization models and algorithms for solving operational problems in complex systems, particularly in the airport and urban freight transportation sectors.


Dr. Yubin Liu received his Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from Imperial College London, UK. His Ph.D. research focused on performance optimization for urban last-mile distribution using autonomous vehicle fleets. He has published in multiple flagship journals and conferences in the transportation and logistics fields, including Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review and the IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems. He also received the Best Research Paper Award at the 102nd Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting (TRBAM).
