Ambra Amico is a former Postdoctoral Researcher at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology, M3S, where she was mentored by Prof. Siqi Zheng (MIT SUL) and Fabio Duarte (MIT SCL).

Her research lies at the intersection of complex systems, data science, and urban economics. She integrates statistical and computational approaches—including network-based modeling, causal inference, and machine learning—to analyze large-scale human mobility data and investigate how it can inform sustainable and digitally enabled urban development.

In 2023, she earned her Ph.D. in Data Science and Complex Networks from ETH Zurich, under the supervision of Frank Schweitzer (D-MTEC, Chair of Systems Design). Prior to that, she completed her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics, specialising in complex systems and statistical physics, at Sapienza University of Rome, supervised by Vittorio Loreto.

She is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at MIT SCL.
