Jie Gao earned her PhD in Information Systems Technology and Design from the Singapore University of Technology and Design in 2024 under the supervision of Simon Perrault. 

She was previously a Postdoctoral Associate with the SMART M3S team, where she collaborating with Prof. Thomas W. Malone. She is currently a Malone Postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins University. 

Her research interests include Human-AI Collaboration, AI for Social Science, and AI for Software Engineering.
