Dr. Xinyu Chen is a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT, working with Prof. Jinhua Zhao on data-driven machine learning challenges. 


He is involved in the M3S and DOE projects. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Montreal, supported by the IVADO PhD Excellence Scholarship. 

His research focuses on developing interpretable machine learning algorithms for spatiotemporal and social science data, with applications in mobility, transportation, climate, energy, and trade. 


His work has been published in leading journals in data science, machine learning, and transportation.
