Dr. Ying Yang is an Assistant Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She was previously a Postdoctoral Associate at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART), where she was affiliated with the M3S Interdisciplinary Research Group (IRG) T7.

Ying received her Ph.D. from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, during which she spent six months as a visiting student at the University of Michigan. She holds a Master's degree from Tsinghua University and a Bachelor's degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

Her research focuses on logistics optimization, data analytics, and shipping operations management.
