Dr. Luis C. Hernández-Barraza is a Biomedical Engineer from Tecnológico de Monterrey, after obtaining his bachelor's degree, he was awarded a scholarship from the Singapore government to study a direct doctorate at the National University of Singapore (NUS). 

Dr. Hernandez-Barraza is currently conducting his postdoc at the National University of Singapore's (ARC) Advanced Centre for Robotics (NUS) in the field of Soft Robotics. His line of research is: "creation and development of soft robotics devices applicable to the rehabilitation of patients suffering from stroke, cerebral palsy and cases of congenital malformation. 

Dr. Luis C. Hernández-Barraza has published several articles in international journals, and has presented the results of his research at multiple conferences in several countries.
